HOW IT ALL BEGAN
MEET THE CHEF
Having grown up from birth as a passionate chef, cooking for others is something Colin always dreamed of doing professionally. Fast forward several decades later, and his dream is a reality. He has worked in top kitchens across the country, and has held key positions at several Michelin Star restaurants.
As a native of Danville, California, Colin's hobby quickly became an obsession. As stand-out young chef in high school at San Ramon Valley, he was accepted into the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
Upon graduating from the institute, Colin developed a deep understanding of farm-to-table preparation and food sourcing at its roots, during a period when he spent time in Sweden, France, and Italy working on farms. Roles included raising and slaughtering livestock, milking goats, and making cheese. Colin's respect and admiration for food grew much deeper following these humbling experiences.
Prior to shifting his focus to private in-home dining, Colin held numerous roles at award-winning fine dining restaurants where he honed his skills for nearly a decade.
